Once you have installed, there is a WP default skin. By default, there are a couple of skins to choose from, please look below to learn how to access them:
- Login to your WordPress installation (/wp-admin/)
- Once logged in, simply click on the “Presentation” menu button.
- You can change themes by simply clicking on them.
If you would like to install a Theme that you have / or may have find online, simply do the following:
- Download the theme to your computer (preferably to your Desktop)
- Go ahead and download a free copy of FileZilla FTP if you already don’t have one.
- Once installed, at the top, you will notice that it asks you for an; address (domain name), username, and a password.
- Once connected, simply go ahead and navigate to your WordPress installation directory (for demo purposes in our demo its in /public_html/).
- One you are in that directory go to /wp-content/themes/
- Then go back to your desktop, and unzip your new theme on your desktop, once you have completed this; you will see a new folder.
- Drag and drop the folder in the above point into the connected FTP sessions (you should be in /public_html/wp-content/themes/
- The theme will be uploaded. Once completed, please close the FTP application.
- Back on the WP Administration (/wp-admin/) click on “Presentation” menu button
- click on your new theme (that has appeared) and you’re done!
