There are a few limitations that you should be aware of. Please find them below, this may help explain why something may not be working for you.
- Timeout – A time out can happen when publishing large pictures or you have many pages to your site that need uploading. Should this occur, simply go ahead and restart the publishing feature and FrontPage will find what files have been already uploaded, and continue to publish the ones that haven’t yet been published.
- Disk Space – When you upload a file using FrontPage, it makes what’s called a child webs which are hidden files or the same file the only difference is that its hidden. This hidden copy takes up space using more space then is actually required for the site.
- File Size – Please remember when performing a search on the web file size really matters. The larger the file, the longer time it takes to search and that can lead to errors such as HTTP 500 Error or “Server” has timed out. So when making files please remember that the smaller they are the faster they will be searched and the faster you will yield a result.
